Product Details and Ordering
Yes. All our rugs are handwoven by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques, with quality controlled from loom to finish. No machinery. No shortcuts.
Fair working conditions and wellbeing of our artisans is of utmost importance to us. Look for the GoodWeave label on our products, for assurance of certified ethical production. It also means your purchase supports programs that educate children and provide safe working conditions for weaving communities.
Each House of Bohi rug is individually handmade, so small differences in weave, pattern, texture and tone are expected. These natural variations are part of what gives each piece its unique character. Final dimensions and pile heights may vary by up to 5%.
We photograph to be true to life, for as accurate as possible colour representation. However, slight colour variance is expected depending on lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
For dyed rugs, dyes are mixed by hand in small batches, so slight colour variation may occur between batches, samples and finished rugs. For undyed rugs, tonal variation can occur naturally within the fibres themselves.
These subtle variations are part of handmade and natural-fibre production and are not considered faults.
Samples are intended to help you assess tone, texture and quality in your own space, but should be considered a close guide rather than an exact colour guarantee.
Yes, we offer a sample loan service for most of the pieces in our studio collection, to help you choose with confidence. Simply select size Sample to checkout with a refundable deposit. After you have tested them within your space, return within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of your deposit. We cover shipping both ways and include a prepaid return label.
We do hold a limited studio stock for when timing matters, beyond which our rugs are made to order for tailored requirements. Our product page indicates whether a particular size and colour is available in stock, or must be made to order.
Timing depends on whether your rug is in stock or commissioned. For delivery and dispatch guidance, see Shipping & Delivery or contact us with the rug name, size and your postcode.
Sizing and fit
Start with the “anchor” rule: your rug should sit under key furniture legs or define the full zone. If you share your room dimensions and a quick photo, we can guide you toward the best fit.
Absolutely. Send us your space measurements and the rug(s) you are considering and we will recommend sizes that suit your layout.
Yes. All our rugs can be commissioned in tailored sizes and finishes. Visit Custom Rugs for more info or Contact us to begin.
Materials and performance
Our studio range is made of natural fibres (such as wool, jute, tencel and plant-based blends) selected for texture, longevity and performance.
Outside of these, for custom and bespoke service, we can provide a greater variety of materials. You can contact us to know more if you prefer other materials.
Most are. We typically recommend our 100% wool or jute rugs, due to their natural durability, stain resistance and hypoallergenic properties. We also suggest choosing forgiving tones for busy homes. We can help you narrow options that balance softness with practicality.
Not across our studio range today. If you are sourcing for an outdoor project, contact us for a bespoke commission and we can produce them for you from recycled PET yarn, suitable for outdoor areas.
